Dear Parents and Students:
On behalf of the entire staff at Montague High School, I would like to welcome you and your student to the 2017-2018 school year!
My name is Troy Moran and I am truly honored to be your new Principal at Montague High School. In just a few interactions I’ve had with staff, students, and families so far, it’s abundantly clear that this school is unique and a special place. As for my background, I have lived in the White Lake area my entire life and consider my new role as a privilege and wonderful opportunity to serve my community. I have been in the field of education since 2002 and throughout my years of service, I have learned the importance of cultivating positive relationships with students and parents and welcome the opportunity to meet and work with each one of you. My goal for this school year is to make it the best year ever!
Moreover, I am thrilled to introduce many new faces to MHS staff and excited for the positive attributes and experience each teacher brings to our school. Mrs. Michelle Smith has taught in Illinois and West Michigan for many years and will be coordinating and teaching in our Lakes program. Mr. Carson Letot will be teaching Earth Ecology and Agricultural Sciences and has just completed his master's degree from Cornell University. Mrs. Brooke Novy is a former Montague graduate and will be instructing English Language Arts. As a National Certified Teacher Mrs. Novy brings a variety of experiences to our students and staff. I am confident you will enjoy learning and working with our new staff members this school year.
Please visit our website frequently for upcoming dates and events, as well as our MHS Facebook page for our weekly highlights. Montague has another wonderful tool to communicate with families called the School Messenger System. The School Messenger System will automatically deliver messages via phone, email, and text. It is important that you provide accurate and updated information to our office such as phone numbers and email addresses.
I am looking forward to welcoming everyone back and making this the best year ever! If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to contact me at (231) 981-4583 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Troy Moran, Principal
